2012 , Mayan Doomsday, End Of The World
Let’s first clear up some things about the prophesied/predicted “2012 Event.” Let’s not get weighed down by the usual mind-numbing lectures on baktuns, cosmic long-counts, or non-repeating vigesimal base-18 and base-20 calendars—and all the rest of that scientific stuff.
We don’t need no steenking science.
I mean, science is a made-up, artificial, and un-natural way to attempt and identify/influence natural phenomena. Science is not the phenomena itself. Science is about the phenomena. But it sometimes mistakes itself for the phenomena. So let’s not put too much faith in science here.
I mean, how’d that H1N1 Super Death Pandemic Pig Plague working out for you? How was that Bird Flu epidemic-to-end-all-life thing—did that one get ya yet? Global warming—yes or no, got scientists on all sides of that one—and the Pope too, so see what I mean?
All right. The ancient Mayan calendar does indeed factually predict an alignment of the sun with the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, on the winter solstice, December 21, the year 2012 AD, at 11:11 AM (GMT). This happens every 27,800 years.
The mathematics of the year 2012 conjunction are 100% accurate, and not in question.
But, in the Mayan prophecy part, the sun will align with the galactic core—the great dark rift cloud in the Milky Way. This is the longest night of the year, and when the sun finally rises—is reborn out of that long death—the current world Age will end, and a New World Age will begin.
However, the Mayan Popul Vuh goes on (roughly) to say that this all portends the end of an Age that has lasted 27,800 years, and the beginning of a New Age of another 27,800 years—a new Age of famine, terror, and the death of God.
Now—returning to the previously stated idea of “How could very ancient populations posses scientific knowledge that our modern civilization has only rediscovered in the past 300 years?” This is the Voice of Science speaking—in tongues—the deified, solidified, home fried, and tongue-tied voice of ordinary humans no smarter than the sum of other humans, but who have come to mistake the process of science for the phenomena itself that science proposes to “study.”
How could the ancients have known all this, indeed. What a smug attitude. What arrogance, what braggadocio and blindness—the failure to recognize a totally natural process not lit by LEDs or gutted by wires.
If it ain’t electric, it don’t mean shit. If it ain’t modern it can’t possibly be important because that would make science and scien-tistes less important. And that would cut back grants, book sales, income in general, and internet dating as we know it.
Ancient humans didn’t need science. They were born naturally into a natural world, in natural time, and natural space. They were born close to their most immediate problems. And the proximity of those problems brought them closer to truth. Ultimate truth—death from life and life from out of death. Very important, something to keep track of.
Like this calendar thing apparently was. It seems to have been something the ancients treated as a necessary undertaking—like pyramid-building, like the Manhattan Project, the moon program—that kind of thing.
Why?
Because they had to know for sure if the sun travels through the ecliptic of the galaxy every 27, 800 years. But how the hell do you do that without electricity and its machines?
Easy.Like I said, its all in the naturalness of Humanity. Somebody had only to watch the skies and keep track for 55,000 years. And crunch a lot of big numbers that only a modern computer can handle.
Impossible?
No.
We recently saw the passing away of Mr. Kim Peek—the “real Rainman,” a brain-damaged person. But Kim had near-perfect eidetic memory and was a mega-savant, a genius in fifteen different areas. He could read two book-pages at a time, one with each eye, in about 8 seconds—and remember everything he read. He could crunch huge numbers and vast mathematical problems in mere moments.
Was Kim damaged goods or a superman? Science says only that he was damaged at birth. Kim Peek died on the 19th of December 2009, from a heart attack.
There have been other Kim Peeks throughout all human Ages—people with unimagined connections between neurons who were walking natural-born computers. They helped calculate the stars and planets, the seasons, planting, harvesting, the pyramids, and places like Stone Henge as an observatory.
In an age without computers, they would have been valued as human calculators. They would have crunched those big numbers for the ancients as fast and accurately as any modern supercomputer.
There are more things and forces in natural Space and Earth than we know—forces that inform and run the universe. But we are a natural part of that order—or disorder. We eat it, breathe it, drink it, and tap into it—without science. We are born a part of it. We can never stop being a part of it.
But why was the sun tracked across the ecliptic of the zodiac for at least 55,000 years to make those observations? Was it ritual, religion, or curiosity about a Mythic parable?
Or did something memorable happen every 27,800 years that needed watching?
I think something happened.
I mean 55,000 years is a long fucking time to keep track of anything. So I think the myth was ingrained into tribal consciousness as a means of encoding forever the events themselves. This is one of the most natural and ancient ways of encoding what data a society or world or culture wishes to maintain at all cost: mythology. This method applies to religion, your fashion-of-the-moment civilizations, government lies and enslavement of the populace, in whatever form, for whatever reason.
In the case of the Mayan calendar, yeah: I think something happens. I don’t think the god or the aliens fly down from the skies trailing clouds of glory—but something happens.
Something will happen.
So, be ready.
Climb up to the Kit Peak National Observatory. It’s 6875 feet above sea-level, 56 miles southwest of Tucson, Arizona in the Schuk Toak District of the Native American Tohono O’odham Nation. Pack a lunch and watch the skies. Keep looking. Keep watching the skies. Because it will begin right there. At least—what’s coming will first be noticed there. And in other places like it.
A planetary “pole shift” associated with the coming 2012 Event refers to an upside down Earth, which will continue to orbit and revolve naturally in space, but wherein the planet’s outer crust is wrenched around upon it like the detached skin of a grape slid upside down whilst the stem remains where it was.
In other words, the theory of 2012 pole shift is that the north and south top and bottom of Earth will be wrenched upside down whilst floating upon the sea of magma beneath. And that this will cause untold cataclysmic upheaval and destruction upon the earth.
Normally this process would take 1-100 million years, to achieve even a 50 % pole shift. The earth is in fact undergoing this very type of geologically “slow” polar shift right now, at about 4 inches per year.
A 2012 Theory of polar shift involves the melting of polar ice, perhaps by volcanoes, earthquakes, weather, or meteors—all caused by the 2012 Alignment of sun and galactic core. Massive amounts of ice-sheet melt water would “unbalance” the Earth’s crust, and it would spin over like a detached grape skin.
There is recorded in rocks and sea-sediment the fact of an actual shift of 50%, over 800,000,000 years ago, so this phenomenon is real, but it necessarily involves the movement of untold massive amounts of matter within Earth’s mantle—continental plate tectonics.
Polar shift and magnetic reversal are two separate things. Magnetic reversal is a 180-degree flip-over of Earth’s magnetic field—it’s magnetic polarity, which is related to fluidic movement of the molten iron core. This process is not plate tectonics.
In 1831 the magnetic northern pole did begin shifting northeastward at a speed of about 10 miles per year. In 1989 its speed increased to about 35 miles per year as it continued to move away from approximately Canada’s Ellesmere Island, and toward Siberia in Russia.
Most geologists (not “scientists,” which can mean anything) agree on the paleomagnetic and paleogeologic evidence that neither of these process could occur instantly, or even fast enough to be perceived by humans. They are proposed as “glacially” slow processes—albeit real and ongoing.
That is—if you can trust to “infinitely godlike” knowledge of people who can’t even predict today’s weather: sunny or cloudy, rain, or no rain.
Another question might be, from whence does the 2012 Event Theory of INSTANTANEOUS polar shift and/or magnetic reversal come from?
Well—it comes from the idea that something will somehow happen because of the coming galactic alignment. Something will affect the Earth—like a rogue planetary body, or gravity, volcanoes, earthquakes, meteors, asteroids, or mystical forces, or magic, or aliens.
Or the Yellowstone super-volcano could blow again and destroy all life. It is 435 miles long and 310 miles wide: this is one gigantic caldera reportedly already getting to blow out again, according to a swarm of 800 earthquakes and a bulging of the caldera floor.
So, it seems there are many ways the Earth could be destroyed. Then, why should it be destroyed by the 2012 Event, and is that at all plausible?
It seems that “racial memory” of paleologically distant catastrophes are buried deep in our DNA and mythology. But are they really memories of real events or just some “survival instinct” to keep humanity alert to its safety, in order to help ensure its survival?
Well—if “survival instinct” comes from evolution, under the influence and shaping power of external events, then it would necessarily have to be based upon past fact and reality over vast geologic Ages. Ergo, yes, Beautiful Sylvie, there do seem to be racial, mythic, genetic “memories” of stuff to watch out for, i.e. death.
So—we are “programmed” to watch out for stuff.
Sometimes this programming seems a nearly a compulsion, or obsession, faith, or even hope, as with the coming 2012 Event. Associated with 2012 are all of humanity’s nightmares and best dreams: cataclysmic destruction of Earth, death, return of the Space Fathers (and Mothers), cosmic renewal, survival, a new beginning, benevolent aliens, and stuff.
So what will actually happen on December 21, 2012, at 11:11 AM (GMT), when the sun completes its ordained path through the ecliptic of the zodiac and squats upon the center of the galactic core?
I don’t know.
Maybe it’s nothing.
Maybe it’s just the fear and desire of Humanity—our own in-born human-ness.
Anything I say, someone else can say whatever they say. The truth is, nobody alive today has the least fact-based idea of what might actually happen, if anything.
Like good detectives, maybe we will just have to patiently wait and see what happens.
But, you’d better be ready, anyway.
On the other hand:
In the northern center of the Yucatán Peninsula, there is a stepped pyramid, at Chichen Itza. It is the pyramid of Kukulcan, the Mayan supreme god, also known as Quetzalcoatl the plumed serpent.
The pyramid has four sides, each with 91 steps. That totals to 364, plus the top steps make 365. Each side displays 52 panels. It is an advanced solar calendar.
At the flat apex of the pyramid there is a temple, and something called the Kuxan Sum—a ‘living cord’ that links Earth with heavenly gods. Every spring equinox the sun seems to pause directly over the pyramid and creates this huge shadow.
A giant serpent that seems to ripple and crawl down the north stairway and join with the giant carved stone head of a serpent at the base, a crotalus durissus rattle snake. Poetic and artistic intent, a blend of science and religion. Such as, the skin of a living crotalus durissus is emblazoned with large pyramidal patterns. Such as, on the rattle of a crotalus durissus there’s a sun-like marking identical to the Maya glyph Ahau, which is associated with the Sun, and therefore with this particular pyramid. This is a blending of worlds—of nothingness, and somethingness.
The great pyramid and its astronomical encodings have a sacred function. On May 20, 2013—five months after the prophesied December 21 solstice of 2012—there will be a second cosmic event.
There will be a major astronomical conjunction directly over the apex of the pyramid. A conjunction of sun and the Seven Sisters—the Pleiades, which are not even visible in daylight, yet somehow the Mayans made the calculation.
And the Mayan name for Pleiades is tzab which means ‘rattle,’ another snake reference. No simple confluence of coincidences. How they did all this—nobody knows.
What happens at this second conjunction—this one with the pyramid in 2013? The Pleiades and the sun will line up perfectly with the great shadow rattlesnake and become its rattle. This second conjunction will form a cosmic link between the god-serpent and Earth.
Moreover, this conjunction will take place on the same day as a predicted solar eclipse—on the Mayan day of 10 Chicchan, which means ‘snake.’
The pyramid’s sole purpose is to invade the power of Cosmogenesis itself. The structure is designed to forge a link that will let humankind control the cosmos—science and religion, a Grand Fusion, on May 20, 2013, after the December 21 conjunction, 2012.
It is said that on December 21, 2012, at 11:11 AM GMT, the galactic goddess will manifest herself in space above this planet. She will squat upon the Earth and deliver from her cosmic womb the sun god risen from the dead, reborn. The Earth’s tilt and orbit will wrench, and the entire planet will be slammed on its ear. There will be global oceanic floods, and storms, famine, death, and the end of God—it will be the end of Ages. It will be doomsday—the end of our world.
But, what of May 20, 2013?
